Service Policies & Customer Terms
Effective Date: July 31, 2026
These Service Policies & Customer Terms describe the general conditions that apply to services provided by ValHalla Gaming LLC, operating as ValHalla Computers. These terms are intended to help customers understand our service process, payment requirements, customer responsibilities, service limitations, and approval procedures.
These terms apply when they are referenced in a service quote, work authorization, invoice, or other agreement approved by the customer. Submitting a website inquiry by itself does not confirm an appointment, authorize work, or create a final service agreement.
Important Notice
ValHalla Computers specializes in PC cleaning, optimization, hardware upgrades, part installation, new-computer setup, cable management, custom PC assembly, and practical upgrade guidance. We are not currently a full-service electronics repair, data-recovery, or managed IT company.
No paid work will begin, no replacement parts will be ordered, and no additional charges will be added without customer approval.
Policies
1. Service Requests & Appointments
-
Submitting a Service Inquiry form expresses interest in a ValHalla Computers service but does not create a confirmed appointment, final quote, or guarantee that the requested service can be performed.
-
ValHalla Computers will review the information provided by the customer and may request additional details, photographs, system specifications, or an initial inspection before confirming availability and pricing.
-
An appointment is considered confirmed only after ValHalla Computers communicates its acceptance and both parties agree to the service date, location, expected work, and applicable pricing.
2. Quotes, Estimates, and Customer Approval
-
Quotes and estimates are based on the information available when they are prepared. Pricing may change if the computer’s condition, accessibility, hardware configuration, contamination level, compatibility requirements, or requested work differs from the information originally provided.
-
When additional work, parts, or charges are recommended, ValHalla Computers will explain the issue and request approval before proceeding. Customers are not required to approve additional recommendations.
-
No verbal recommendation should be considered authorization for additional paid work unless the customer clearly approves it through the agreed communication method or updated service documentation.
3. Service Scope and Limitations
-
ValHalla Computers will perform only the services listed in the customer’s approved quote or work authorization. Services not listed in the approved scope are not automatically included.
-
ValHalla Computers does not currently provide board-level electronic repair, soldering, advanced data recovery, liquid-damage restoration, malware-forensics services, guaranteed repair of failed hardware, business network administration, or ongoing managed IT support.
-
When a problem falls outside our current abilities, equipment, or service scope, ValHalla Computers may decline the work or recommend that the customer contact an appropriate repair specialist. A referral does not guarantee the availability, pricing, or quality of another company’s services.
4. Payments, Parts, and Additional Charges
-
Customers are responsible for paying the prices, deposits, taxes, parts costs, and other approved charges listed in their quote, work authorization, or invoice.
-
Unless otherwise stated in writing, payment for completed labor is due when the service is completed. ValHalla Computers may require a deposit or advance payment before scheduling certain services, ordering parts, or beginning a custom PC build.
-
Parts, hardware, software licenses, cables, adapters, and other materials are not included in service pricing unless specifically listed in the approved quote.
-
Parts ordered by ValHalla Computers for a customer must generally be paid for before the order is placed. Once a part has been ordered, cancellation or refund eligibility may depend on the supplier’s return policy, shipping charges, restocking fees, and the condition of the returned item.
-
Parts, hardware, software licenses, cables, adapters, and other materials are not included in service pricing unless specifically listed in the approved quote.
5. Customer Data, Backups, Passwords, and System Access
-
Customers are responsible for creating a current backup of all important files, photographs, documents, software keys, account information, and other data before ValHalla Computers begins service.
-
ValHalla Computers does not provide data-backup or data-recovery services unless those services are specifically listed in writing. Although reasonable care will be taken while handling and testing the computer, the preservation of customer data cannot be guaranteed when a system has existing hardware failure, storage-device problems, corruption, malware, or other unknown conditions.
-
By approving service, the customer confirms that they own the computer or have permission from its lawful owner to authorize ValHalla Computers to inspect, open, operate, test, restart, update, and access the system as reasonably necessary to perform the approved work.
-
Customers may be asked to provide temporary login access, remain present while entering a password, or create a temporary local account. ValHalla Computers will access only the settings, applications, files, and system information reasonably necessary to perform and verify the approved service.
-
Customers should not provide passwords for unrelated personal, financial, email, social-media, or online accounts unless access is specifically necessary and agreed upon for the requested service. Any credentials provided should be changed by the customer after service is completed.
-
ValHalla Computers will take reasonable precautions to avoid viewing, copying, transferring, or retaining personal files that are unrelated to the approved work. Any customer information temporarily recorded for service purposes will be handled according to the ValHalla Computers Privacy Policy.
6. Customer-Supplied Parts and Hardware Compatibility
-
Customers may provide their own parts for installation, subject to inspection and approval by ValHalla Computers. Customer-supplied parts must be appropriate for the requested service and reasonably compatible with the computer.
-
ValHalla Computers may decline to install any part that appears damaged, unsafe, counterfeit, modified, incomplete, excessively worn, or incompatible with the customer’s system. We may also decline an installation when the required tools, procedures, or risks fall outside our current service scope.
-
ValHalla Computers will make reasonable efforts to review compatibility using the computer information and part specifications available at the time. However, compatibility, performance, condition, authenticity, and reliability cannot be guaranteed for hardware purchased or supplied by the customer.
-
Customers should provide accurate system specifications and all necessary accessories, mounting hardware, cables, adapters, licenses, instructions, and product keys required for installation. Missing materials may delay the service or require a revised quote.
-
When a customer-supplied part is defective, incompatible, or otherwise cannot be installed successfully, the customer may still be responsible for approved diagnostic or labor charges for time already spent inspecting, testing, or attempting the installation.
-
Returns, refunds, exchanges, and warranty claims for customer-supplied parts remain the customer’s responsibility and are subject to the original seller’s or manufacturer’s policies. ValHalla Computers may provide documentation about the installation or testing performed but does not guarantee that another company will approve a return or warranty claim.
-
Installation by an independent service provider does not automatically void an entire manufacturer warranty. However, a manufacturer may deny coverage for damage shown to have been caused by an installed part or the installation itself. Customers should review their applicable warranty terms before authorizing service.
No paid work will begin, no replacement parts will be ordered, and no additional charges will be added without customer approval.
7. Existing Damage, Hidden Defects, Contamination, and Unsafe Equipment
-
Customers must disclose any known damage, previous repairs, liquid exposure, electrical problems, overheating, unusual noises, system instability, pest activity, smoke exposure, corrosion, or other conditions that may affect the safety or performance of the computer.
-
Before beginning service, ValHalla Computers may inspect and document the visible condition of the computer, its components, and any customer-supplied parts. Photographs may be taken for service records, condition documentation, and customer communication. ValHalla Computers will not intentionally photograph or access personal files for this purpose.
-
Some equipment may contain worn, damaged, improperly installed, or failing components that are not visible during an initial inspection. ValHalla Computers cannot guarantee that every hidden defect or pre-existing condition will be identified before the computer is opened, moved, cleaned, operated, tested, or disassembled.
-
A computer or component with an existing defect may stop functioning during ordinary handling, cleaning, installation, startup, testing, or troubleshooting even when reasonable care is used. ValHalla Computers is not responsible for failure caused solely by a pre-existing condition, hidden defect, normal wear, previous damage, manufacturer defect, or unauthorized prior repair.
-
Nothing in this section limits responsibility for damage directly caused by ValHalla Computers’ failure to exercise reasonable care while performing an approved service.
-
ValHalla Computers may pause, limit, or decline service when equipment appears unsafe, excessively contaminated, structurally damaged, or outside our service capabilities. This may include, but is not limited to, active insect or rodent contamination, bodily fluids, mold, significant liquid damage, severe corrosion, swollen or damaged batteries, exposed electrical hazards, burning odors, melted wiring, or other conditions that could endanger people, property, or equipment.
-
If an undisclosed condition is discovered after service has begun, ValHalla Computers will notify the customer and explain the available options. Additional cleaning, inspection, materials, or labor charges will not be added without customer approval. ValHalla Computers may return the equipment without completing the requested service when continuing would be unsafe or unreasonable.
-
If an undisclosed condition requires us to pause or stop the service, the customer is still responsible for any approved labor, inspection, or diagnostic charges already incurred, as long as those charges were disclosed and authorized in advance.
8. Unexpected Conditions, Additional Work, and Parts Procurement
-
If ValHalla Computers discovers damage, failed components, compatibility concerns, safety hazards, or other conditions that were not included in the originally approved service, work may be paused while the customer is notified.
-
ValHalla Computers may offer additional services or replacement options when the required work falls within our capabilities and service scope. The customer will receive an updated quote or written explanation of the proposed work, parts, labor, taxes, procurement charges, and other expected costs before additional work begins.
-
No replacement part will be purchased, and no additional paid work will be performed, without customer approval. ValHalla Computers may require advance payment of the full estimated cost of parts, applicable taxes, special-order charges, and approved procurement or travel fees before purchasing customer-specific materials.
-
Same-day or special parts pickup may be subject to a separately disclosed procurement or travel fee. If the actual purchase price differs materially from the approved amount, ValHalla Computers will obtain additional approval before completing the purchase. Any unused prepaid amount will be credited or refunded to the customer.
-
Replacement parts are subject to availability, compatibility, retailer and manufacturer policies, and the condition of the customer’s existing equipment. ValHalla Computers does not guarantee that replacement of one damaged component will resolve every existing or undiscovered problem within the computer.
ValHalla Computers may decline additional work when the equipment presents a safety risk, requires specialized repair, or falls outside our experience, equipment, or service scope.
9. Cancellations, Rescheduling, Late Arrivals, and Missed Appointments
-
Customers should contact ValHalla Computers as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment. Whenever reasonably possible, at least 24 hours’ notice should be provided.
-
Appointments canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time will not be subject to a cancellation fee. However, customers remain responsible for any previously approved, nonrefundable costs already incurred for specially ordered parts, materials, shipping, or other customer-specific purchases.
-
A cancellation made less than 24 hours before the appointment, a missed appointment, or the customer’s failure to provide access to the computer or agreed service location may result in a late-cancellation or missed-appointment fee of up to $25, provided the fee was disclosed in the appointment confirmation.
-
If ValHalla Computers has already traveled to or arrived at the agreed service location, the customer may also be responsible for a previously disclosed trip or service-call charge. No fee will be charged unless it was communicated to and accepted by the customer before the appointment.
-
Customers should be available and prepared at the confirmed appointment time. This includes providing reasonable access to the computer, power outlets, necessary login access, customer-supplied parts, and the agreed work area.
-
ValHalla Computers may allow a 15-minute grace period for customer lateness. If the customer cannot be reached or the service cannot begin after that period, the appointment may need to be shortened, rescheduled, or treated as a missed appointment.
-
If a late start prevents completion of the approved work within the scheduled appointment window, ValHalla Computers will discuss available options before extending the appointment or adding any labor charges.
-
ValHalla Computers may waive cancellation or missed-appointment fees because of severe weather, illness, emergencies, unsafe travel conditions, or other circumstances considered reasonable at our discretion.
-
If ValHalla Computers must cancel or reschedule an appointment, the customer will not be charged a cancellation fee. Any payment collected solely for labor that has not been performed will be credited toward the rescheduled service or refunded, subject to any separately approved and nonrefundable parts or materials costs.
Nothing in this cancellation policy limits any cancellation, refund, notice, or other right available to the customer under applicable law.
10. Service Timelines, Delays, and Customer Communication
-
Any completion date, appointment length, or turnaround time provided by ValHalla Computers is a reasonable estimate based on the information available at that time. Unless ValHalla Computers expressly agrees to a guaranteed deadline in writing, estimated completion times are not guarantees.
-
Service may take longer than originally estimated because of the computer’s condition, hidden damage, hardware compatibility, required testing, software updates, internet speeds, parts availability, shipping delays, customer-requested changes, or other circumstances outside ValHalla Computers’ reasonable control.
-
If a material delay occurs, ValHalla Computers will make a reasonable effort to notify the customer, explain the reason for the delay, and provide an updated estimate when possible.
-
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and current contact information and responding within a reasonable time to requests for approval, additional information, login access, replacement-part decisions, or appointment changes. Service may be paused until the necessary response or authorization is received.
-
A delay by itself will not result in additional labor charges unless further work is reasonably necessary, the additional charges are explained, and the customer approves them before that work is performed.
-
If the approved service cannot be completed, ValHalla Computers will explain the work performed, the reason the service could not be completed, and any available next steps. The customer will be responsible only for previously authorized labor, inspection, parts, materials, or other charges that were actually incurred.
-
Any prepaid labor charge for work that ValHalla Computers does not perform will be credited or refunded. Approved special-order or customer-specific parts may remain subject to the applicable retailer’s or manufacturer’s return policy, shipping charges, and restocking fees.
-
Customers may contact ValHalla Computers through the business contact information listed on the website or service documents to request a reasonable status update regarding an active service.
11. Testing, Service Completion, and Customer Review
-
ValHalla Computers may perform reasonable inspection and testing before, during, and after service to verify the computer’s condition, confirm that approved work was completed, and determine whether installed components are recognized and functioning as expected.
-
Testing may include powering the computer on and off, restarting the system, checking temperatures, reviewing hardware information, confirming component recognition, testing basic system functions, and running appropriate performance or stability checks. Testing will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the approved service.
-
When practical, ValHalla Computers may document relevant system conditions, test results, temperatures, component information, completed work, and recommendations in the customer’s service record.
-
A service is considered complete when the approved work has been performed and the computer is ready to be returned to the customer. If the approved work cannot be fully completed, ValHalla Computers will explain what was performed, what remains unresolved, and why the service was stopped or limited.
-
ValHalla Computers will notify the customer when service is complete or when the computer is ready for pickup, delivery, or return. The customer is encouraged to review the completed work, ask questions, and report any visible concerns before accepting the equipment whenever reasonably possible.
-
The customer may be asked to confirm that the computer powers on, that installed components appear correctly recognized, and that the approved service has been completed. This confirmation does not mean that the customer waives concerns involving hidden defects, workmanship issues that were not reasonably discoverable at that time, or any right available under applicable law.
-
Customers should notify ValHalla Computers as soon as reasonably possible if they believe the approved work was not completed correctly or if a problem appears to be directly related to the service performed. ValHalla Computers must be given a reasonable opportunity to review the concern before another provider modifies or repairs the affected work, except when immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect people, data, or property.
-
ValHalla Computers does not guarantee that testing will identify every intermittent problem, hidden defect, software conflict, compatibility issue, or future hardware failure. A computer successfully passing reasonable testing at the time of service does not guarantee uninterrupted future operation.
-
Any unresolved concerns, recommended repairs, declined recommendations, or limitations identified during service may be documented in the customer’s service summary, invoice, or other service records.
Nothing in this section limits any consumer right, warranty, or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
12. Workmanship, Replacement Parts, and Manufacturer Warranties
-
ValHalla Computers will perform approved services with reasonable care and in a professional manner consistent with the service scope, the condition of the equipment, and our current capabilities.
-
Unless a different period is stated in the customer’s approved quote or service documents, ValHalla Computers provides a 30-calendar-day workmanship review period beginning on the date the serviced computer is returned to the customer or the on-site service is completed.
-
If the customer reports a concern during this period that appears reasonably related to the workmanship performed by ValHalla Computers, the customer should provide a description of the issue and allow ValHalla Computers a reasonable opportunity to inspect the affected work.
-
If ValHalla Computers confirms that the reported issue was directly caused by our workmanship, we will correct or reperform the affected labor without an additional labor charge. Any additional remedy will be determined according to the circumstances and applicable law.
-
The workmanship review period does not cover:
-
Problems unrelated to the approved service
-
Pre-existing damage, hidden defects, or normal wear
-
Failure of a part that ValHalla Computers did not damage
-
Defective or incompatible customer-supplied hardware
-
Malware, software conflicts, operating-system errors, or corrupted data not caused by the approved work
-
Damage caused by misuse, accidents, liquid exposure, power surges, improper transportation, unauthorized modifications, or service performed by another person after completion
-
New problems or component failures that occur after the service and are unrelated to ValHalla Computers’ workmanship
-
-
Parts purchased through ValHalla Computers may be covered by warranties provided by the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer. The availability, duration, coverage, and claims process for those warranties are determined by the applicable third party unless ValHalla Computers expressly provides a separate written warranty.
-
ValHalla Computers does not control and cannot guarantee the approval of a manufacturer or retailer warranty claim. When reasonably possible, we may provide receipts, installation records, part information, or other available documentation to assist the customer with a claim.
-
Warranty claims, returns, refunds, and exchanges involving customer-supplied parts remain the customer’s responsibility and are governed by the policies of the seller or manufacturer from which the customer obtained the part.
-
The use of an independent service provider or compatible third-party part does not automatically cancel an entire manufacturer warranty. However, a manufacturer may decline coverage for damage shown to have been caused by a particular part, modification, or service. Customers should review the applicable warranty terms before approving an installation.
-
The workmanship review period is not a guarantee that the computer will remain free from all future hardware failures, software problems, compatibility issues, performance limitations, or unrelated defects.
Nothing in this section is intended to waive or limit any consumer right, implied warranty, or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
13. On-Site Services and Customer Premises
-
When service is performed at a customer’s home, office, or other location, the customer must provide ValHalla Computers with reasonable access to the computer, approved equipment, and the area where the service will be performed.
-
The customer confirms that they own the property or have permission from the property owner or authorized occupant to allow ValHalla Computers to enter the premises and perform the approved service.
-
Unless otherwise agreed in advance, an adult customer or authorized representative who is at least 18 years old must be present and reasonably available during the appointment to provide access, answer questions, approve unexpected changes, and review the completed work.
-
Customers must provide a reasonably clean, stable, well-lit, and safe work area with sufficient space to handle the computer and its components. Appropriate electrical power, internet access, login access, and other utilities must be available when reasonably necessary for the approved service.
-
Before the appointment begins, customers should remove drinks, food, clutter, fragile objects, and unrelated personal property from the work area. Children should be supervised, and pets should be secured when they could interfere with the service or create a safety concern.
-
ValHalla Computers is not required to move heavy furniture, televisions, desks, shelving, appliances, or other large objects unless that work was discussed and approved beforehand. Additional labor or assistance may be required when the computer or workspace is not reasonably accessible.
-
Customers should disclose any known hazards or conditions at the property that could affect the appointment, including electrical problems, pest activity, water damage, construction hazards, aggressive animals, illness concerns, or unsafe access to the service area.
-
ValHalla Computers may refuse to enter, pause the appointment, or leave the property if the environment appears unsafe, unsanitary, threatening, excessively contaminated, or otherwise unsuitable for the approved work. This may include aggressive animals, active pest contamination, exposed electrical hazards, smoke or fire conditions, illegal activity, threatening behavior, severe weather, or other risks to people, property, or equipment.
-
If an appointment must be stopped because of an undisclosed or unresolved condition at the customer’s premises, the customer remains responsible for any previously approved trip, inspection, or labor charges already incurred, provided those charges were disclosed and authorized in advance.
-
ValHalla Computers will take reasonable care while working at the customer’s premises. Customers should identify any pre-existing property damage, unstable furniture, fragile surfaces, or other concerns before service begins. Nothing in this section limits responsibility for property damage directly caused by ValHalla Computers’ failure to exercise reasonable care.
-
Internet outages, power interruptions, restricted access, unavailable passwords, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances at the service location may delay or prevent completion. Any additional work or return appointment will be discussed with the customer before additional charges are incurred.
-
Any travel, service-call, parking, toll, or same-day procurement fee will be disclosed before the appointment or trip is approved.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation, notice, refund, or other right available to the customer under applicable law.
14. Equipment Pickup, Return, Storage, and Unclaimed Equipment
-
ValHalla Computers will notify the customer using the contact information provided when equipment is ready for pickup, delivery, or return. Customers are responsible for keeping their contact information current and responding within a reasonable time.
-
Unless different payment terms were approved in writing, all completed labor, parts, taxes, and other authorized charges must be paid before the equipment is released to the customer.
-
ValHalla Computers may request reasonable identification or confirmation of authorization before releasing equipment. A person other than the customer may collect the equipment only when the customer has authorized that person in advance.
-
Customers should arrange to collect or receive their equipment within 14 calendar days after the first notice that it is ready. No storage charge will apply during this initial 14-day period.
-
Equipment remaining with ValHalla Computers for more than 14 calendar days may be subject to a storage charge of $10 for each additional seven-day period, provided that the storage charge was disclosed to the customer in the approved service documents or completion notice.
-
Storage charges are intended to cover the space, handling, recordkeeping, and responsibility involved in retaining equipment after service has been completed. ValHalla Computers may waive or reduce a storage charge when illness, emergency, travel, financial hardship, or another reasonable circumstance prevents timely collection.
-
If equipment remains uncollected, ValHalla Computers will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer using the available phone number, email address, mailing address, or other approved communication method.
-
If equipment remains uncollected for 60 calendar days, ValHalla Computers may send a final written notice requesting that the customer arrange payment and collection by a stated deadline.
-
Equipment will not automatically become the property of ValHalla Computers merely because it was not collected by a particular date. ValHalla Computers will not sell, discard, donate, use, erase, or otherwise dispose of customer equipment or data unless permitted by applicable law and after completing any legally required notice or other process.
-
When permitted by applicable law, ValHalla Computers may retain possession of serviced equipment while approved and unpaid service, parts, materials, storage, or other authorized charges remain outstanding.
-
If pickup, delivery, or return has been scheduled and the customer or authorized representative is unavailable, an additional trip or delivery charge may apply before another attempt is made. Any such charge must be disclosed and approved in advance.
-
ValHalla Computers will take reasonable care of equipment while it remains in our possession. However, our service location is not intended to provide indefinite or long-term equipment storage, and customers should collect their property promptly after receiving notice that service is complete.
-
Any accessories left with the computer—such as power cables, adapters, removable drives, peripherals, mounting hardware, or original packaging—should be documented in the service record when reasonably practical.
Nothing in this section limits any ownership right, consumer protection, lien procedure, notice requirement, or other legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
15. Service-Specific Terms
-
The following terms apply in addition to the general policies above. The exact services, included tasks, pricing, and limitations for each appointment will be identified in the customer’s approved quote or work authorization. A service does not include tasks that are not listed or reasonably necessary to complete the approved work.
15.1 PC Cleaning & Optimization
-
PC Cleaning & Optimization is intended to remove accessible dust and debris, improve general cleanliness and airflow, and perform the basic software-optimization tasks listed in the approved service.
-
Cleaning results depend on the computer’s design, accessibility, age, maintenance history, and level of contamination. ValHalla Computers does not guarantee that every stain, odor, discoloration, residue, or contaminant can be completely removed.
-
Computers affected by smoke residue, liquid exposure, corrosion, mold, pest contamination, bodily fluids, or unusually severe buildup may require additional precautions, revised pricing, or referral to another provider. Service may be declined when continued work would be unsafe or outside our capabilities.
-
Cleaning and optimization may improve temperatures, airflow, startup behavior, or everyday usability, but no specific temperature reduction, performance increase, noise reduction, or extension of hardware life is guaranteed.
-
Thermal-paste replacement, fan replacement, component disassembly, malware removal, operating-system repair, data recovery, and replacement parts are not included unless specifically listed in the approved service.
-
If cleaning reveals a loose, damaged, worn, or failing component, ValHalla Computers will notify the customer before performing additional paid work.
15.2 PC Health Check & Upgrade Guidance
-
A PC Health Check is a limited assessment of the computer’s observable condition, hardware information, temperatures, storage information, startup behavior, airflow, and other basic performance indicators reasonably related to the approved service.
-
This service is not a comprehensive electronics diagnosis, repair certification, data-recovery assessment, malware-forensics examination, or guarantee that every present or future problem will be identified.
-
Recommendations are based on the system information, testing results, customer goals, product specifications, and other information reasonably available at the time. Hardware prices, availability, compatibility information, and software requirements may change after the recommendation is provided.
-
ValHalla Computers does not guarantee that a recommended upgrade will produce a particular frame rate, benchmark score, application performance level, or other specific result unless that result is expressly guaranteed in writing.
-
The approved health-check charge remains due when reasonable inspection and testing were performed, even if no definite problem is found or the issue cannot be reproduced during the appointment.
15.3 PC Upgrades & Part Installation
-
Upgrade and installation services are limited to the components and work identified in the approved quote or work authorization.
-
Before installation, ValHalla Computers may review the proposed part for reasonable compatibility with the customer’s motherboard, processor, power supply, case, operating system, available connections, physical clearances, cooling capacity, and other relevant system requirements.
-
Compatibility research reduces risk but cannot guarantee that every hardware, firmware, software, or manufacturer-specific issue will be identified before installation.
-
Data migration, drive cloning, operating-system installation, software installation, product activation, BIOS or firmware updates, extensive rewiring, and configuration beyond basic installation and testing are not included unless specifically listed in the approved service.
-
If a part is defective, incomplete, incompatible, or cannot be installed safely, ValHalla Computers will notify the customer. The customer may remain responsible for approved labor already performed in inspecting, preparing, testing, or attempting the installation.
-
ValHalla Computers does not guarantee a specific performance improvement from an upgrade. Results depend on the complete hardware configuration, software, workload, settings, and condition of the computer.
15.4 New PC Setup
-
New PC Setup includes only the setup tasks listed in the approved service, which may include initial system configuration, available operating-system updates, basic account setup, peripheral connection, and installation of approved applications.
-
The customer is responsible for possessing valid software licenses, product keys, subscriptions, account credentials, and permission to use any program or online service requested for installation.
-
ValHalla Computers will not bypass account locks, device-security features, software licensing requirements, ownership verification, or other access controls.
-
File transfer, data migration, drive cloning, email migration, advanced network configuration, printer troubleshooting, malware removal, and recovery of information from an older computer are not included unless specifically approved and quoted.
-
Completion may depend on internet availability, download speeds, manufacturer servers, account-verification requirements, software compatibility, and third-party services outside ValHalla Computers’ control.
-
Customers should review their accounts, applications, files, peripherals, and preferred settings after setup and report any concern related to the approved work as soon as reasonably possible.
15.5 Custom PC Build Service
-
Custom PC Build Service covers the planning, assembly, configuration, and testing tasks identified in the customer’s approved quote or work authorization. It does not automatically include the purchase price of components, software licenses, peripherals, data migration, delivery, or future upgrades.
-
All components must be reviewed and approved before ordering or assembly. ValHalla Computers may require advance payment for the full estimated cost of parts, applicable taxes, shipping, special-order charges, and other customer-specific purchases.
-
Component prices and availability may change before an order is placed. If the approved configuration becomes unavailable or materially changes in price, ValHalla Computers will contact the customer before ordering a substitute or increasing the approved amount.
-
Changes requested after parts have been ordered may result in shipping costs, retailer restocking fees, price differences, additional labor, or delays. Any additional charges will be explained before the change is completed.
-
Build appearance, cable routing, lighting synchronization, noise levels, temperatures, and component placement depend on the selected case, hardware, cables, controllers, and manufacturer designs. ValHalla Computers will make reasonable efforts to produce a clean and functional build but cannot guarantee that every cable will be completely hidden or that components from different manufacturers will provide identical visual effects.
-
Operating-system installation, software setup, overclocking, custom firmware, data migration, advanced lighting configuration, and performance tuning are not included unless specifically listed in the approved service.
-
Individual components may carry separate warranties from their manufacturers or sellers. ValHalla Computers’ workmanship review applies to our assembly labor and does not replace the terms of applicable third-party warranties.
15.6 PC Cable Management
-
PC Cable Management includes only the internal computer cables, desk cables, peripherals, or other wiring areas identified in the approved service.
-
Final results depend on the computer case, desk, furniture, cable lengths, power-outlet locations, connected devices, available routing openings, and any accessories approved for use. ValHalla Computers cannot guarantee that every cable will be completely hidden.
-
Replacement cables, extensions, adapters, power strips, sleeves, clips, ties, channels, and other cable-management materials are not included unless listed in the approved quote.
-
Drilling, cutting furniture or walls, running wires inside walls, modifying building electrical systems, installing permanent electrical outlets, and other construction or licensed electrical work are not included.
-
Devices may need to be disconnected, moved, powered off, and reconnected during service. ValHalla Computers will perform reasonable basic testing afterward, but the customer should review their complete setup and identify any concern before the appointment concludes whenever practical.
15.7 ValHalla Shield
-
ValHalla Shield is a one-time bundled service for one eligible computer during one approved service appointment. It is not a subscription, membership, insurance policy, extended warranty, repair plan, or promise of unlimited future service.
-
The package includes only the ValHalla Shield tasks displayed on the applicable service page and confirmed in the customer’s approved quote. The exact work performed may depend on the computer’s condition, accessibility, design, compatibility, and service needs.
-
Replacement parts, hardware, software licenses, cables, adapters, extensive repairs, advanced data recovery, complete computer rebuilding, and work outside ValHalla Computers’ service scope are not included unless separately quoted and approved.
-
Any included part-installation labor is limited to the type and number of standard upgrades described in the approved ValHalla Shield service. Complex installations, multiple upgrades, or work requiring substantial disassembly may require a separate charge.
-
A customer who does not need or cannot receive every possible package element is not automatically entitled to a cash refund, credit, substitute service, or transfer of the unused element to another computer. Any adjustment will be determined and approved before service begins.
-
ValHalla Shield does not guarantee that the computer will operate at a particular speed, temperature, noise level, or performance standard after service. Existing defects, aging components, hardware limitations, and unrelated software or operating-system problems may remain.
-
Each additional computer or future appointment requires a separate service request and approval.
Nothing in these service-specific terms is intended to waive or limit any consumer right, warranty, or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
16. General Terms, Electronic Communications, Policy Updates, and Contact Information
16.1 Service Agreement Documents
-
For each service transaction, the agreement between the customer and ValHalla Gaming LLC, operating as ValHalla Computers, consists of the customer’s approved quote, work authorization, invoice, applicable service documentation, and the version of these Service Policies & Customer Terms in effect when the service was approved.
-
Website descriptions, advertisements, messages, and preliminary discussions provide general information and do not expand the approved service scope unless the additional work is specifically included in an approved quote, work authorization, or written update.
-
If a transaction-specific document conflicts with these Terms, the transaction-specific document will control for that service to the extent of the conflict. However, no document is intended to waive or limit a consumer right or legal protection that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
16.2 Electronic Communications and Approvals
-
ValHalla Computers may communicate with customers through email, text message, telephone, Wix, Jobber, electronic invoices, or other contact methods selected or approved by the customer.
-
When a customer chooses to submit, receive, approve, or sign service documents electronically, the customer agrees to conduct that transaction electronically. Customers may request a reasonably available paper copy or ask to use a different communication method for future transactions.
-
Electronic approvals may include approving a quote, signing a work authorization, submitting a form, selecting an acceptance checkbox, or sending a clear written message authorizing specific work or charges.
-
ValHalla Computers may retain electronic records of customer inquiries, approvals, communications, quotes, service documents, invoices, and payments for business, accounting, customer-service, and legal-compliance purposes.
-
Electronic approval does not replace any different signature, disclosure, cancellation notice, or document format specifically required by applicable law.
16.3 Changes to Approved Services
-
Changes to an approved service, price, part selection, appointment arrangement, or other material term must be communicated and approved before the change is completed.
-
Approval of one change does not authorize unrelated work or charges. ValHalla Computers will document material changes through an updated quote, work authorization, invoice, email, text message, or another reasonably reliable written record.
-
Neither party should rely on an informal statement that materially changes the approved service unless the change is clearly confirmed by both the customer and ValHalla Computers.
16.4 Updates to These Terms
-
ValHalla Computers may update these Service Policies & Customer Terms as the company’s services, procedures, technology, or legal obligations change.
-
Updated Terms will display a revised effective date. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, an update will apply only to services approved on or after the new effective date.
-
Updates will not retroactively change the price, approved scope, or material conditions of an existing service agreement without the customer’s agreement.
-
The version of these Terms in effect when the customer approves a service will generally govern that transaction. ValHalla Computers may retain previous versions for business and service records.
16.5 Governing Law
-
These Terms and services provided by ValHalla Computers are governed by the applicable laws of the State of Kansas.
-
This governing-law provision is not intended to remove any mandatory consumer protection available under the law of another jurisdiction when that protection lawfully applies to the transaction.
16.6 Severability
-
If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or other authority with proper jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary to address the issue.
-
The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law, provided they can operate independently and consistently with the original purpose of these Terms.
16.7 No Waiver Through Delay or Exception
-
If ValHalla Computers does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, or makes a reasonable exception for a customer in a particular situation, that decision does not permanently waive the provision or require the same exception in another situation.
-
Similarly, a customer’s decision not to immediately exercise a right does not waive any right that cannot lawfully be waived.
16.8 Section Headings
-
Section titles and headings are included to make these Terms easier to read. They do not independently expand, restrict, or replace the wording of the provisions beneath them.
16.9 Questions, Concerns, and Contact Information
-
Customers who have questions about these Terms, an active service, a charge, or completed work should contact ValHalla Computers as soon as reasonably possible.
-
ValHalla Computers will make a reasonable good-faith effort to review customer concerns, explain available records, and determine an appropriate next step.
